Gifts

Our Homeware has been sourced locally, nationally and internationally, focusing on the more unusual independent artisan suppliers such as A Farmer’s Daughter (www.afarmersdaughter.co.uk), Glover and Smith (beautiful pewter spoons inspired by nature www.gloverandsmith.co.uk) and Fenella Smith tablewear (www.fenellasmith.co.uk).  With a background in children’s publishing and young family, Rosamund is also keen to find unusual gifts for children ranging from traditional wooden toys to raffia toy boxes made in Madagascar (www.rice.dk) and beautiful bookplates from new supplier, Mac and Ninny (www.macandninny.com) .

Being a part of that, now rare, breed, the bricks and mortar bookshop, Mainstreet is also keen to showcase the beauty of paper with a focus on stationery, gift wrap, cards and notebooks including the delightful aninotes range of flick books (www.aninotes.com).  We are fortunate in employing a talented team of staff, including several artists (Twitter followers #mainstreethare will be familiar with the window art) – these skills will also be exploited in Home where we offer a gift wrapping service.

Diana Muir Antiques - now relocated from the main shop, Diana's antique selection with be fully integrated with our own Homeware.  Diana has a keen eye for beautiful chairs, delicate tables and chests of drawers as well as lots of very affordable smaller items.  Her stock changes regularly so do keep checking back.
