The Trouble with Dragons/Witch Baby by Debi Gliori

In the morning session, Debi talked about her eco-fable, The Trouble with Dragons (4yrs +).  The children were clearly fascinated and I think it's fair to say that everyone was incredibly impressed by how much thought goes into creating a picture book.  Debi talked us through the process from black and white roughs through to the stunning finished article and even showed lots of original drawings and paintings.

In the afternoon, she had the children giggling madly as she talked about Witch Baby and Me (6yrs plus) , her hilarious tale of nine year old Lily and her witch baby sister.  It's tricky if you're the only one who knows your baby sister is a witch and no one is going to believe that it's her invisible pet dog that's making the horrible smell, not you!
