World Book Day in the Borders
Thursday 5th March was World Book Day and over a hundred children attended author events at The Mainstreet Trading Company in St Boswells to celebrate.
Vivian French entertained a crowd of 7-9 year olds talking about her novels, ROBE OF SKULLS and BAG OF BONES. She answered questions from the audience and explained how she goes about writing her books, even showing the children some of her tricks for starting a story.
Natalie Russell, author and illustrator of DONKEY'S BUSY DAY, encouraged the children at her event to put together their own story about Donkey, complete with flipchart storyboard.
The children had a fantastic time at the events and lots more came along after school to have their faces painted and spend their FREE World Book Day
£1 voucher.
