AUTHOR EVENT: GILL MELLER
After the success of our first pop-up dining event last Autumn with Olia Hercules, we’re delighted to announce that this October we welcome another of our favourite chefs, Gill Meller, to ‘pop-up’ at Mainstreet. He will be cooking for us from his beautiful new book, Time.
Gill needs little introduction having been group head chef at River Cottage for many years; his first book, Gather, won the Fortnum and Mason Best Debut Food Book in 2017.
His new book Time distils the essence of Gill’s approach to food and cooking – time spent in the kitchen, with good ingredients, makes for the best possible way of life. From a simple soughdough, to peaches with sage, smoked bacon & honey or barbequed mackerel, black pudding and red currants – this is simple, beautiful food.
