As the nights draw in, please join us for a delicious evening of baking with Flora Shedden (of Bake Off fame) on Thurs 14th Nov.
Time and rhythm is at the core of Aran bakery, and for owner Flora Shedden, baking is very much about capturing this time and savouring little moments to yourself. Whether it’s slathering hot butter over freshly baked croissants to welcome in the morning or taking a time out to enjoy a thickly sliced loaf cake with a cuppa in hand for elevenses – baked goods always have their own place in everyone’s routine.
Each chapter takes you through a distinct time of day at Aran, sharing recipes beginning in the wee hours with a Blueberry Crumble Brioche or Pear Tarragon Danish, through to much-needed midday fuel of Chanterelle, Shallot and Gruyère Frittata or Black Pudding Sausage Roll. In the afternoon, get together with loved ones and blether, sharing Apricot Almond Frangipani, or Whisky Eccles for a twist on a classic.
Flora Shedden has been in the kitchen all her life, in 2015 she starred on The Great British Bake Off and finished as the youngest ever semi-finalist.
