The non-fiction titles that blew us away in 2024.
Our Books of the Year for 2024 will let you travel through history to meet medieval and Tudor kings and queens, get the inside scoop on a remarkably daring rescue mission and have a newfound admiration for paintings in the Dutch Golden Age.
You will learn about present-day preservation efforts on a duck station off the coast of Norway. You will venture into the world of food with two of the best food writers in the country and you will dive into refreshing and honest poetry about navigating today’s often overwhelming world. You will learn more about how marvellous hares are and the history of gardens from Garden of Eden to pandemic window boxes.
And you will discover the poignant history of a friendship between two great war poets and how creative work helps humans to get through even the darkest of times.
