Ark Colour Design is based in Cambridge and have their goods manufactured right here in Scotland. The company was founded in 2015 with the idea of creating fun, affordable and well-made gifts. All of their leather products are made by a family-run manufacturer, where the leather is processed in their onsite tannery. Meanwhile, all of their paintings and designs are developed in Cambridge. 

Drinks Anyone? If you’re looking for a fun way to serve your drinks and snacks this summer, then these trays are for you. These are all one-of-a-kind and are handmade using calico fabric, encased in fibreglass, which makes them light and tough enough to last a lifetime. Each design is hand-painted by various artists and only made once so have fun and choose your favourite before it’s gone! 

Beyond serving, you can showcase these unique trays as a stand alone art piece – hanging on a wall or propped up on a shelf – adding flair to any space in your home. Each tray, big or small, shows the company’s diverse talent and eye for design with so many patterns to choose from. 

A smaller range of these striking trays are also available and are great as catch-alls for keys or jewellery, adding a pop of colour to any corner. 

In addition, Ark produces stylish leather products such as bookmarks and key fobs. While the trays can be found in the Home Department, these on-the-go items can be found in our bookshop. All the leather goods are made by their Scottish manufacturer where they are hand-finished, giving each item a unique touch. We saved the most cheerful product for last! For all you cat people we think you will particularly enjoy these new ‘Fat Cat Coasters’. Although most of us at Mainstreet are dog lovers, we could not resist these with their bright and playful designs. With their comical expressions embossed into the leather and their flluffy, chubby cheeks, they make a delightful addition to any cat lover’s collection.
