We have always loved audio books at Mainstreet, so it’s a joy that, after the death of the CD and many years of online monopoly, we are able once more to bring you a choice of how to buy audio books. See below for more information.
VOXBLOCK
Aimed primarily at the children’s books market, Voxblock is the perfect blend of high tech/low tech. The player looks and feels like a nice chunky ipad, but is also, somehow, book’ish. You simply drop the audiobook (about the size of an old cassette tape) into the player and the story begins. No screen, no wifi, no download, no app, headphones optional.

Listen to over 500,000 audio books via our online partner, Bookshop.org, after their recent launch of audiobooks. Subscription format, but cancel anytime, so no pressure.
