Delightful Donna Wilson! These colourful items always brighten up our Home department and we thought they thoroughly deserved their time in the spotlight as our new Home Highlight. 

We have stocked a small selection of Donna Wilson’s range since 2023, when we discovered her at Top Drawer that year. However, we have recently brought in even more of her collection, including some scarves and the new design of ceramics.

Our favourite item at present is the quartet scarf. Made with four ends instead of two, there are endless ways to wrap, tie and wear. These scarves are all 100% lambswool and are made in the Knitshop in Dundee.

Donna Wilson is known for her distinctive use of colour and pattern. Her ceramics that have recently arrived with us are designed with a cosy and warm palette, exactly what we need to help us get through the darker winter days in Scotland. 

The range created by Donna and her team is an artful blend of playfulness and craftsmanship & it’s clear the work goes beyond aesthetics; it’s about bringing joy and personality into our everyday lives. Even needing to stay warm with a hot water bottle in the colder months can bring a smile to your face.

All of the products are made to last, not follow fashion or trends.The woolly creatures in particular are designed with the idea of becoming lifetime companions. These adorable knitted friends have fans all over the world. And, in the event your Donna Wilson creature gets injured – has maybe had a run in with a pet, pesky moths have had a nibble or it is coming apart at the seams after being loved too much – there is a Creature Care Clinic set up where it can be admitted to be repaired and sent back to you, fixed up as best as the team can manage. 

Donna Wilson designs are for the creatives, the design enthusiasts, collectors and above all, the young at heart. Her homeware lets you include that joyous element into your interiors while the accessories allow you to add a little extra character to your outfits.

About Donna Wilson

Born in the north of Scotland, Donna Wilson went on to study at the Royal College of Art and set up her studio in London in 2003. 

Named Elle’s Decoration Designer of the Year in 2010, Donna Wilson has gone on to work with internationally acclaimed brands over the course of her career. These include Hermès, Penguin Random House, and Merci, as well as cultural institutions such as V&A and Cooper Hewitt. Her work has been exhibited around the world yet she always tries to remain true to her principles, using traditional techniques and locally based suppliers wherever possible.
