WELCOME TO MAINSTREET
Based in the Scottish Borders village of St Boswells, The Mainstreet Trading Company is a destination in itself. Husband and wife team, Rosamund and Bill de la Hey, renovated the former auction house in 2008 to create a light and airy space filled with books and the smell of coffee. In 2012, they went on to create Mainstreet Deli & Home in a beautiful barn behind the main shop.
THE GIVING TREE
Each year we set up a Giving Tree in our bookshop, providing the opportunity for our customers to give a book as a Christmas Gift for children who may not have many books on their shelves at home.
This year we are working with our local foodbanks to provide books for the children who use their services. We hope that each child who receieves a food parcel from these Food Banks will also receive a gift-wrapped, age-appropraite books, thanks to the generosity of our community.

The pink string alone gave me a little jump of joy but the wrapped books inside really made my day.
